Quote-ready definitions

ISO 7047:2011 covers metric raised countersunk head screws with type H or type Z cross recess; do not substitute a flat countersunk ISO 7046 screw without drawing approval.
ISO 4014 = partial-thread hex bolt (shank); ISO 4017 = fully threaded hex head (DIN 933 family).
DIN 912 and ISO 4762 describe the same metric socket head cap screw (SHCS) product family for most commercial buys.
Coarse pitch is the default metric thread when a drawing lists only “M8” or “M10” with no pitch number.
A2-70 is an ISO 3506-1 property class (~700 MPa min tensile) typically mapped to 304 stainless fasteners; 18-8 is US chemistry slang, not a strength class.

ISO 7047 raised countersunk machine screws

ISO 7047:2011 covers metric raised countersunk head screws with type H or type Z cross recess, product grade A, from M1.6 to M10. This is not the same head form as the flat countersunk ISO 7046 family, and Pisenfasten does not currently publish ISO 7047 SKUs in the web catalog.

Hex head — full vs partial thread

US RFQs often say “hex bolt.” Metric catalogs split full-thread (DIN 933 / ISO 4017) from partial-thread shank bolts (DIN 931 / ISO 4014).

Socket head cap screws (SHCS)

Cylindrical head + hex socket. Common callouts: DIN 912 and ISO 4762. Primary category for precision assemblies.
